Holly Yashi
A partnership of art and industry, Holly Yashi was founded in 1981
by jewelry designer Holly Hosterman and industrial artist Paul Lubitz
(a.k.a. Yashi). Holly Yashi's stylish jewelry, with its amazing,
luminous colors and innovative materials, met with immediate success
in the marketplace, and the company soon became known throughout
the U.S. Today, Holly Yashi is a multimillion dollar operation with
a staff of 50 artisans supplying a worldwide demand for Paul and
Holly's unmistakable Jewelry as Art.
Holly Hosterman is a university-trained artist
and renowned northern California jewelry designer who has been winning
awards for her designs since her youth. With literally thousands
of original designs to Holly's credit, she has become one of the
nation's most productive jewelry artists.
Paul Lubitz, a.k.a. "Yashi", is the
entrepreneur and industrial arts master behind the designs. He transforms
Holly's artistic visions into wearable art and guides the business
as company President. Paul has been instrumental in developing the
unique technologies Holly Yashi uses in producing its jewelry.
Fifty skilled artisans craft Holly Yashi jewelry
by hand at the company's studio in Arcata, California. Many Holly
Yashi artisans have been with the studio for years, honing their
skills and developing the techniques necessary to flawlessly produce
Holly's designs, some of which are extremely intricate and require
upwards of 125 steps to complete.
